They have been washed in hot water and rinsed in the same temperature water; however, they have NOT been treated with anything to prevent shrinkage and felting.Please handwash only in warm water with mild detergent and rinse in water of the same temperature. Do not agitate or move the item around too much as this may result in felting. Different water temperatures may shock the wool and cause shrinkage.DO NOT wash in a washing machine, not even on a wool cycle. The item may be placed in the washing machine spin cycle to remove excess water, then laid out on a flat surface, reshaped, and dried out of direct sun. DO NOT tumble dry.All care is taken with these instructions, but we cannot be held responsible if your item shrinks or felts with your care.Inconsistent spinning thickness: This wool or fibre is not commercially spun; it is handspun. Therefore, there will be some inconsistencies in its thickness and ply. When knitted, it will generally balance out and have the natural handspun look you want. While every effort is made to keep the yarn even, sometimes this doesn’t occur. Some items here have been priced to reflect these flaws. You are purchasing this product as it is.
